Valve Actuator Assembly Line

Valve Actuator Assembly Line

Our Task

Location: Pruszkow, Poland

Value: $4,000,000 USD

Timeline: 53 Weeks

IAT Global designed and manufactured an automated Pneumatic Seat Control Valves Assembly Line. The SMA Valve Assembly Line incorporates eight identical actuator assembly stations, as well as Loctite dispensing equipment, a UV cure, and a pallet line with pallets that complete the actuator assembly to the housing sub-assembly.

01

Assembly Station

The SMA Valve Assembly Line incorporates eight identical actuator assembly stations, as well as Loctite dispensing equipment, a UV cure, and a pallet line with pallets that complete the actuator assembly to the housing sub-assembly. The line was designed to produce 1, 568 actuators per hour.

02

Line Expansion

The line accommodates three different part numbers in batched format. All nests and pallets include three individual nests, providing the customer with an opportunity to expand the line and add a fourth housing in the future if required.

03

Pallet System

The pallet system includes approximately 40 pallets and 8 spurs that transfer the pallets to the actuator assembly station. It also incorporates 8 return transfers and 2 lift gates. An HMI interface was worked into the design to provide the user with accessible display of the machine’s status, fault messages, and manual functions.
